LORE CHECKLIST

Concerned about missing something when it comes to describing your Lead Character's Era? This little checklist may help you think of some things get you started! You can use this to figure out what things you may want to highlight.
You can of course add or remove parts in your personal list, but here are general-but-important things to consider when writing lore, and just overall figuring out your Lead Character's motives and future intentions! You can even get together with other Lead Writers and negotiate some of the questions that concern nation relations.

I. ABOUT THE LEADER

01.

How long has your character been a leader?
Was your character born into being a leader?
Did your character become leader by other means?
What does your leader think of their nation?
Do these thoughts control their rule?
How do these thoughts control their rule if so?
What drives your leader to lead?

II. ABOUT THE RACES

02.

Do they have bias for or against Humans?
Do they have bias for or against Dire?
Do they have bias for or against Eximius?
Do they allow any biases to control their political decisions?
Are these biases publicly known?
Do these biases go against the nation's long cultural history?
If so, how do you think the nation thinks of your leader in response?

III. ABOUT OTHER NATIONS

03.

What does your leader think of other nations?
Does your leader prefer certain nations over others?
If so, does your leader make this public knowledge?
If so, what do you think the nation thinks of these biases?
Is your leader the type to openly seek alliance?
If so, have they already attempted with certain nations, or do they plan to do so?
What are these dynamics like between your leader and these preferred nations?  Are they mutual, altruistic, abusive?

IV. ABOUT THE WORLD

04.

How does the nation treat outsiders under your leader's era?
Are there any unique or heavily enforced laws that govern the nation under your leader's era?
Do outsiders follow more rules than citizens under your leader's era?
What does your leader think of the Magic Crisis?
Do these thoughts influence the nation's response to Magic?
If so, how do you think these actions or lack thereof affect how your nation is seen?
How does your leader's era deal with Rogues? How does it deal with Rogues seeking citizenship?

V. ABOUT THE ETHICS

05.

Is your leader more concerned with peace, conquest or internal issues?
Does your leader avoid wars or start them?
How does your leader do in international meetings?
Does your leader's view on what's most important for their nation impact the lives of people within it?
If so, do you think this is a positive or negative impact?
Based on the origin culture of the nation, what do you think the people feel about these ventures and impacts?
Is your leader concerned about the deaths of their people? The wellness of their people? Are they more concerned about "greater goods" than this loss?
