Whereas once he gazed upon these wartorn islands as the picture of possibilities, he now only sees what has ended all-too-soon. However, he will allow this loss to be little more than a brief impediment in Dorsum's roadmap. They soar through the endlessly-churning skies with a purpose, seeking one in particular that dwells amongst the scattered lands of Giruvaga. 'Sullivan Renepault.' It is with luck that the name is recognizable to his newfound companion, Asa. He supposes there are few that do not know of The Brass Hammer's name; but, given her lowered profile he cannot say who she chooses to share her identity with and from whom she chooses to keep hidden. Knowing her pride, he supposes there are few that fit into the latter category.

'She lives in Fautsairi. I can take you there.' It is an opportunity he does not hesitate to accept once it has been presented.

As their feet land upon solid ground once more, he is sure to thank the woman for the aid she has provided. Though it is far from the last time they will see one another, he still provides Asa with a sizable amount of coin for her time and service. He is not far from the place in which the tigress calls her home, but he need not guess which one belongs to her. Merlot's very obvious presence is visible already from the distance that he stands; but regardless, he still does not charge forth to greet the either of them. Instead he allows a moment to observe the abode in which she has chosen to settle in. The place that she chose over the home that he has provided her within Dorsum. It is what she has wanted, what she has preferred, for reasons in which she has explained to him time and time again.

And yet here he is, wondering if any of it has changed for her with the now-emptied throne of her country.

Slow steps lead him up the path towards the door to her home, and he is met with none other than a grunt by Merlot. Piercing eyes meet his own, and for but a moment he studies the beast carefully. His moment of contemplation is followed with a faint smirk, for he can imagine the look upon a young Sullivan's face to learn that she would one day earn the companionship of none other than an Alicorn. Though the years of sweat and tears that she and her family poured into perfecting the perfect steed were impressive and the subject of envy by many, few things could compare to the natural beauty and power of an Alicorn.

Regardless of it all, his knuckles tap against the door.

The winged sleipnir caught his scent before his eyes caught the man's gaze. It should seem baser to the King, fully animal, but Sullivan knew Severin was there because she could hear the thunderous rebukes from within the home via her Animal magic.
Then, the knock.

She hadn't moved until she'd heard it. True to who she was, Sullivan would not act until the effort was made--unless, of course, the act was befitting of violence. But in any other case, she preferred to push behavior, and even if she knew the words you wanted to speak, even if she had the power of Telepathy, she would never give you what you wanted unless you made it known. The effort of actualizing what they wanted was the prize, not the knowledge of what they wanted itself.

The house was a rather small affair, certainly far different from the gilded halls of the excellent Speakers' Council where she once resided for many years. Even her humble home before she'd been voted was more impressive for the then-general, the warrior who eradicated enemies for her country as well as to sate the unending flame in her throat.
It was nothing more than a humble cabin, with its top floor narrow and nearly flush against the ceiling in a way that implied it was a second thought implementation. It was enough to fit her however, and the cozy little upstairs spaces was where she had slept.
Off the ground, away from the easiest points of entry. Some things never changed, not even by time.

Sullivan stepped down the rail-less wooden stairs and headed to the humble solid wood door. The glint of many weapons on the wall ushered her immediate and instinctive attention, and she had to actively resist them as she slipped in beside them to push open the door.
The tigress' glowing eyes greeted him, and that was all he's initially given. She stood in the doorway for just a moment, tall with her shoulders back like she was sizing him up. He would have felt that silence before a great many times and would be able to accurately attribute it to heavy thought. Two paths were set in front of her and one was violent and the other was...perhaps not. At least, not so quickly.

In the end the tigress moved, like an obelisk overseeing the path ahead, backing away with a powered step before turning on her heels nd disappearing farther inside her home without so much a second look at him. If she had wanted him to stay out, he would have known it immediately.

There are rustles behind the closed door of the small establishment, the faintest sound of footsteps approaching several seconds after the knock has landed against the wood. She opens it in an unexpected silence, crimson red eyes meeting the polarity of his blue-green in something of a wordless clash. There is a part of him - the part of him that she is inherently not so fond of - that almost greets her with a satirical 'Surprise,', and then there is the other part of him that reminds him he would rather see this encounter through unharmed. And so instead he merely searches the tigress gaze as he has done time and time again until she is the one that severs the connection.

A swift, unforgiving pivot of her feet turns her away from him, and in seconds she has disappeared further into the recesses of her home. It is met with a heavy breath from the Fæúlfur, one that does not go unnoticed by the nearby sleipnir who responds in something of an amused snort and a swaying of his horned crown. Severin does not glance back at the creature but rather ushers his way into the Renepault's household, the door closing quietly behind him. He stands within the entryway for a moment, taking full stock of his surroundings now that he is indoors. While Sullivan knew Edelhaus Arx much like the backs of her heavily tattered hands, he knew little more about the place she called home than the brief description that Asa had given him hours ago.

A variety of weapons line the wall nearest to where he stands, strategically placed for as easy access as possible for the woman should she find herself faced with a threat. His eyes trace the wooden stairs up to the second floor of the home; though it is small, he supposes that little more matters than that she finds it comfortable.

Fully aware that the tigress is not one for small talk, he does not take the time to engage in it where he otherwise might have. If there is one thing about interacting with the Brass Hammer, it is that he cannot approach her as he does most others. She challenges every aspect of his persona, rebuking the majority of whatever he might throw at her in an attempt to solve the puzzle that is her mind. As one who has nearly mastered the art of manipulating most humans, he is always at a disadvantage when it comes to his interactions with Sullivan. He can never rely on the reliable, and that is but one of the many things that has fed his interest in her since their reunion.

The last time they have seen one another was at the culmination of a successful agreement formed between their respective countries. A turning point, if it were. An abundance of possibilities. Now they stand at the undoing of such alliance. "My sources tell me there is no clear reason for the Koning's abandonment of his post," he begins, shifting so that the woman is in his line of sight, but not necessarily seeking her gaze. "Is there any truth to these claims, as far as you are aware?" They have been allies once before, working closely together as a unit, and even now she has continued to provide him aid at his request for his various missions and motives. As such, it is certainly not an outlandish request for him to probe her for such intel.

Though his missive here is primarily to see Sullivan, he would be lying if he claimed that it is the only reason he has come to Giruvaga. "It seems strange to put forth so much effort to assert one's dominance just to disappear without cause." While most of what he has learned of Bacalou has come from Sullivan's lips herself, there have always been whispers of the Viking King's brutish ways across the sea.
